#CurlsOverBrunchDC : Event Recap

This weekend I had the pleasure of attending the DC stop on the #CurlsOverBrunch tour hosted by one of my absolute favorite beauty bloggers, Jade "LipsticknCurls" (pictured above). I started watching her Youtube channel a little over 2 years ago and was just instantly drawn to her, not just because of her amazing videos, but her realness as a person. She's not just another "Youtube guru". As a full-time grad student she still manages to travel across the country to host insightful and inspiring events such as CurlsOverBrunch for her loyal subscribers.
This event was absolutely amazing. To be in a room full of young, ambitious women who just so happen to have popping natural hair was a beautiful sight.

The brunch took place at DC's STK restaurant located on Connecticut Ave., and let me tell you, the food was BOMB! We were served a 3 course brunch with of course bottomless mimosas and bellinis!

Aside from the amazing food and conversation, what's a natural hair event without products!? The event was sponsored by the Creme of Nature hair care line and of course we left with a bag full of goodies! I don't know about my fellow naturals, but I know new hair products are the way to my heart!

I can't wait to try out all of these new products! Curly hair season is about to start for me so they will for sure come in handy!

There's More.....

My best friend and roommate from college, Taelor attended the event with me!

Alongside Jade, another Youtube beauty by the name of Courtney "CurlsandCouture" was the co-host to the event. Such a pleasure to meet and learn about her journey! For sure a new channel for me to subscribe to.

Overall, this event was so much more than a popular Youtube blogger putting together an event or a group of women with natural hair coming together. It was a group of beautiful, young and talented women coming together to SUPPORT one another; women of color at that. I am all for women linking up and making amazing things happen!

Hope you all enjoyed this post! Thank YOU for your support in reading my blog!
