This past weekend I took my first trip down to New Orleans, Louisiana! #NOLA. During the 4th of July weekend the famous Essence Fest takes place in the city where just about anybody who is anybody is in town for the music festivities and more. It has always been on my bucket list to attend, so me and one of my best friends made our way down to the Big Easy!
While in NOLA I was able to attend some pretty cool events, receive some amazing products, eat some BOMB food (that was probably my favorite part of the trip lol) and take in the unique culture of the city. So I just want to share some of the events I attended with you all and of course some of the looks I rocked while hitting the very hot & humid New Orleans streets! :)

After grabbing some food from a small local spot called Manchu, it was time to get ready for the first event of the weekend. I was fortunate enough to be invited to a private style lounge party by the hair product company Design Essentials. The event was hosted by the singer Ledisi and was at the Le Meridian Hotel.
The event was full of bloggers, media outlets, business owners and more. Great music, food and of course hair products. Guests left with bags full of goodies which I am so excited to try out since I have never owned any products from the line.
My look for this event was a chic peachy, nude Amrezy inspired look. Lol.

Day 2
Saturday, first thing on the agenda was #CurlsOverBrunchNOLA! The last stop of the Curls Over Brunch series hosted by the lovely Jade Kendle of "LipstickNCurls". I attended the one in DC back in April, so when I found out she was hosting one in NOLA during Essence Fest I had to go support once again. This time her guest blogger was Raven Elyse who is another one of my absolute FAVS!
I didn't have time to snap a pic with Jade, but I got one with Raven! Just as gorgeous and cool in person.
I also didn't have time to take solo outfit shots, we were on the go Saturday lol. Butt...

The brunch took place at Bourbon House that was located right on Bourbon St. It was ah-mazing!! The food was soooo good! We once again left the event with swag bags filled with awesome new hair products. I was lucky enough to have walked away with an extra bag filled with 6 months supply of Hairfinity that I won during the Q&A giveaway segment! I am so hype to start this Hairfinity journey!
Night Out
While in NOLA we had to hit up at least one club to see what the night life in New Orleans is about. We got tickets to attend a black and white party at one of NOLA's biggest clubs, The Metropolitan. It was a really nice nightclub with basically 3 different clubs in one. Each room had a different DJ that played a different genre of music.

I was provided this romper by the owner of a new up and coming online boutique, VooDooChic. I received so many compliments and questions about this romper so I just have to thank the owner, Sydney, who happens to be a very close friend of mine for letting me be one of the first to get their hands on some of the exclusive VooDooChic merchandise! I can't wait until it launches so I can share more with you all!
Overall, I had a BLAST in New Orleans! I truly was not ready to get on the plane and leave. It was definitely a trip I'm glad I was able to take! It's nothing like grabbing one of your best friends and traveling to explore something new.
Shoutout to Taelor (TMASE!) for being my Travel PIC & my photographer this weekend! I wish I could have gotten more pictures to share but we were truly on the go and just enjoyed every moment of our trip.
